The Trojans went to South Gibson Friday night to continue district play.
The Trojans didn’t have much going for them with Jace Ward dropping six of their first eight points of the night in the first quarter. For SGH it was all Tritt hitting two three-point shots and racking up 10 of their 12 first-quarter points. The Trojans trailed in the first 12-8.
Turnage got it going in the second quarter scoring six points, but that's all they had going for them. South Gibson was struggling with two players scoring four points each which allowed the Trojans to come back and tie it at the half with a score of 20-20
In the Third quarter, Turnage was still turning it on for the Trojans adding seven more points to his total. For the Hornets, Cranford had seven of the nine points in the quarter. The Trojans led the way at the end of the third 34-29.
The fourth was all the Hornets. Two players scored eight each to bring them back and win 49-45.
