The Trojans started slow, only scoring four first-quarter points. Haywood for the Choctaws led them with five points being up good at the end at the first 12-4.
Hayes for the Choctaws had six points in the second quarter, but that didn’t matter with the fiery Trojans' run with Ward having 12 points and scattered scoring from the black and gold. Trojans took the lead going into half 28-24.
In the third quarter, Tyler knocked down two 3-point shots for DC. Cobb for the Trojans had six points and more scattered scoring between the Trojan starters gave them a lead at the end of the third 46-37.
In the fourth quarter, the Choctaws fought back, even tying it. Haywood for the Choctaws fouled out which allowed Ward and the Trojans to go away with it and get the big district win over the Choctaws and the sweep of the year 65-52.
