Trojan football prepares for first round of championships

Jayden Brown - Reporter

As football season comes to an end, DHS celebrated its seniors with a pep rally and Senior Night at the football game last Friday.

The pep rally included the games Digging for Gold and Knockerballs. Class presidents also participated in a scavenger hunt, which the sophomores won.

The dance, cheer, and step teams all performed at the pep rally. The dance team had a special ending to their routine, where the rest of the members pointed to Caroline Buss, the only senior on the team. The cheer team celebrated their seniors by making posters.

That night, seniors in football, dance, cheer and band were recognized before the game. It was the last regular season game, and the Trojans earned a spot in the playoffs by defeating the Ripley Tigers 35-0. Dyersburg will host the first round against Raleigh-Egypt this Friday.
