The Dyersburg High School Trojan Drama club performed their first play of the year with productions running Thursday, November 10 through Monday, November 14. The play,

"Charlotte's Web," was shown four days total, each performance lasting just over an hour and a half. This is the first time since 2019 that the Trojan Drama club has been able to perform for an audience at Dyersburg High School due to the Covid pandemic followed by strenuous renovations occurring in the Little Theater. Previous productions have been held at the Dyersburg State Community College.

Two actors from the production of Charlotte's Web, KJ Davis and Patrick Healy, share their new experiences having access to the DHS theater.

"It was definitely more free, since it was our theater. We could do more with the set, and operate much more freely with the huge amount of space." Davis, who played Templeton, the rat, said.

"It was a lot better, we got to rehearse on the stage the whole time and the extra set design helped a lot to get in character." Healy said. Healy's role was Homer Zuckerman, the owner of Wilbur in Charlotte's Web.

The DHS Trojan Drama club will also produce a second play in Dyersburg High School's Little Theater in the spring of 2023.

"I most definitely will [participate]. Even though it’s hard work, it really feels worth it," Healy said.

More information on the Trojan Drama Club's next play production will be available after the first of the year.
