The cheesy, baked crackers that people around the world enjoy: Goldfish. I am here to introduce its lesser-known alternative, Whales. Whales are essentially the same as Goldfish. They are cheddar cheese baked crackers with a salty, crunchy exterior.
Stauffer’s Whales Cheddar Crackers have been produced since 2001. While Goldfish have a variety of flavors to choose from, Whales are only sold in the original flavor. If you're looking for variety, then Goldfish should be your choice, but if flavor is what you want, Whales are the way to go.
One of the many advantages of choosing Whales is the price point. The average price for a 16-oz box is $3.47. For Goldfish, it is $3.52 for a 10-oz box. So, not only are you getting more for the same price, but the quality difference is also very apparent. So if you are searching for a cheaper alternative to a cheesy snack, while still getting the same quantity, Whales dominate the field.
Now for the main feature that makes Whales superior: the taste. They have a delicious, buttery, smooth flavor. Made with real cheddar cheese, these crackers have a rich flavor that Goldfish cannot compare to. On the outside, there is an addictive salt that makes licking your fingers afterwards so incredible.
