Thursday, March 23, the Dyersburg varsity softball Lady Trojans took home an 8-2 victory over Peabody.
The Lady Trojans scored four runs in just the fourth inning. These were led by a single by Addie Gatlin, another single by Emma Pritchett and a double by Makai Ward. Pitcher Courtney Richardson also aided in the Lady Trojans’ win by going seven innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, striking out six and walking zero. In total, the Lady Trojans tallied nine hits. Izzy Odom, Makai Ward and Addie Gatlin each made multiple hits for the Lady Trojans. Makai Ward led with three hits in three at-bats. The Lady Trojans play again Tuesday, March 28 at Obion.
