DHS Lady Trojans won against The South Gibson Hornets on Thursday, October 20. The game started strong in the first half with two goals by Zaineb Manneh and Virginia Kerber for the Lady Trojans, both assisted by Addie Hurt.
In the second half, South Gibson scored two goals and kept it tied until Manneh scored another goal assisted by Hurt.
Manneh’s second goal tied her for the single-season goal record for DHS. The previous goal was set in the 2010 season with 42 goals.
The Lady Trojans’ followed up with a game Saturday against Millington at JC Sawyers Stadium. Check back with the Trojan Torch online soon for an article about that Regional Championship game.
