The Lady Trojans faced off against the Lady Cavs in the Glove looking to get revenge with Crockett County being their only district loss of the year.
In the first quarter, the black and gold struggled to get a three-point attempt to fall early but made three 3-point attempts. Strayhorn had Crockett counties star player Maddox on locks the whole game. Strayhorn held her to zero points throughout the entire first three quarters. Crawford got into foul trouble early but is so mature as a player that it didn’t bring her out of the game. Jordan for the Trojans knocked down a three and two pretty midrange shots to have the lead at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter was all Trojans. The black and gold held the Cavs to only one point from the free-throw line in the second quarter. Crawford had seven points and Jordan had four to put the Lady Trojans up big at the end of the first half 26-9.
The third wasn’t much different for the Cavs. The Lady Trojans were rolling all over them holding them to only two third-quarter points. Crawford for the Trojans scored eight third-quarter points with her future coach Katrina Merriweather (Cincinnati head coach) watching from the sidelines helping the Lady Trojans go up by 30 points at the end of the third quarter and holding the lady Cavs to only three second and third quarter points.
By the fourth quarter, the game was already over. The Lady Trojans had forced a running fourth-quarter clock. The Lady Trojans didn’t just get revenge, they got a huge domination win over the Lady Cavs in district play with a score of 49-22.
