Homecoming week 2022 has come to an end, but it was filled with several student highlights. The main events included the powderpuff game, the pep rally, the football game against Bolivar, homecoming court, and the homecoming dance.

At the powderpuff game, the semi finals were played with the freshman against the juniors and the sophomores against the seniors. The juniors and the seniors won in their respective games, and the juniors beat the seniors in the finals 12-0. It was said that junior Virginia Kerber caught the longest pass in Trojan Powderpuff history for the game-winning touchdown.

At the pep rally, students also got a first look at the 2022 DHS Step Team and caught a glimpse of this year’s cheer and dance routines. The game of Tug-of-war was won by the seniors, while the winning class of the dress-up relay race were the juniors.

Prior to Friday night’s showdown against Bolivar, Homecoming court was announced. Senior Malyn Morgan won 3rd maid, junior Brinlee Robinson 2nd maid, junior Sophie-Claire Stowe 1st maid, and principal Kamela Rogers crowned senior Caroline Dedmon the 2022 Football Homecoming Queen.
