For the first time in two years, DHS held a football pep rally. This means, the class of 2024 and 2025 just had their first official high school pep rally. The last official pep rally was in the school year 2019-2020 when the seniors were sophomores.
The juniors were freshmen. Friday, October 15, was the day that the vast majority of DHS students have been anticipating for over a year. A sense of normalcy in our world. Pep rallies are an integral part of school spirit and school sports.
Pep rallies provide the school an opportunity to show support for the players. Pep rallies also give students the opportunity to show school spirit. This pep rally was a great way to introduce the sophomores and freshmen to DHS life, and also a significant way for the seniors to reminisce what high school is really like.
After Friday's events, everyone looks forward to future pep rallies at DHS.
