Although the homecoming dance and court recognition got a last-minute change, DHS students still celebrated the 2024 Football Homecoming Week dress-up days. Students started the week dressed in college hoodies, scrubs, and many other career attires for Monday's College and Career Day a.k.a “Nerds” day! Then, on Tuesday, students brought out their red ties, Trojan t-shirts, and brightly colored Crocs for “Dress As Your Favorite Teacher Day” (Smarties Day). Students brought out their best western and “honky-tonk” attire for Country Day, referred to as “Jolly Ranchers” Day. On Thursday many students rocked a cartoon t-shirt or JoJo Bow and dressed as their younger selves for “Sour Patch Kids” Day. Students finished the week off with their homecoming shirts and class colors for Black and Gold Day! The DHS students showed up and showed out with their costumes and outfits throughout the week, despite any storms and last-minute changes!
