The Christmas season has begun in Dyersburg with the annual Christmas parade! With every jolly group and light-covered float, the festivities grew.

The Dyersburg High School band played for the bystanders with a holiday melody, bike engines revved, and Santa shook his belly. As candy flew through the air and small children ran around, the feeling was Christmas spirit. The parade also included Dyersburg High School students who participated in the Fairest of the Fair pageant. This included Caroline Buss and Jenna Flatt who were awarded first maid and second maid, respectively, as well as Hannah Morris who was crowned as Fairest of the Fair.

If you missed the Dyersburg Christmas parade, worry not! The yearly Sorghum Valley Christmas village will be hosted at the Dyersburg fairgrounds on December 8th, 9th, and 10th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. It will feature music, hot chocolate, caroling, knitting, reading, and festive decoration prize winners.

More information about this event can be found on the Sorghum Valley Facebook page if interested. Happy holidays from Dyersburg High School Trojan Torch!
