Dyer County Fair holds annual Special Needs Day

Jayden Brown - Editor

Wednesday morning, Dyersburg and Dyer County schools came together to recognize the special education programs with a day at the Dyer County Fair. Teachers and students volunteered to join special needs students on the rides and enjoy the barnyard animals.

The Tilt-A-Whirl ride was especially popular among students, as well as the complimentary shaved ice from the Shave Ice Barn. Students were also thrilled to see Sparky the Dog and take pictures with him. The event ended at noon with a pizza and chips lunch. The Torch Staff thanks everyone who helped in celebrating our special needs students and their teachers.
