Today, March 12, 2025, during lunch, the Dyersburg Lady Trojans began their journey to Murfreesboro.

The lady Trojans started their journey with a celebratory send-off right outside of their very own Glover Gymnasium. Community members, teachers, students, and school staff celebrated them and sent them off on their way across the town for further celebrations.

The girls are en route to Murfreesboro to compete in the Class 3A State tournament, where they will compete to win the title of state champions. The quarter-final game will be tomorrow in the Glass House gymnasium at MTSU. The game is scheduled to start at 12:45 against #2 White County.

This time last year, our girls brought home the Gold Ball- the trophy for winning state champions- and they are all ready to do the same this year. Students and teachers have the opportunity to ride the DHS pep bus tomorrow to support the girls in the quarterfinals. Trojan Torch’s online editor, Addi Lloyd, will also be joining the team as they attempt to two-peat and win the state championship. Keep an eye out for daily Trojan Torch articles as the Lady Trojans take on the state championship.

We hope to see you there! If you can’t make it, be sure to tune in to the Eagle 97.3 radio station, where Chris Dishman and Charles Dawson will be covering the entire game! Good luck, girls, and Go Lady Trojans!!
