The DHS Lady Trojans soccer team played an away match at Trinity Christian Academy on September 10. The Lady Trojans secured a 5-4 win over the Trinity Christian Academy Lady Lions and continued their undefeated season.

Freshman Zainab Manneh scored three goals and sophomore Addie Hurt scored two goals.

This year, The Lady Trojans are determined to make it all the way to state.

“Honestly, we do have what it takes to make it to state. We’re gonna face some physical teams, but like tonight we showed up ready to play. If we continue having that mindset we have a shot at state,” Hurt said.

This year, Lady Trojans are going to be prepared for these upcoming games.

“Every day at practice we run five laps, do sprints, do passing drills and do footwork drills. After that, we scrimmage each other. Practicing how we play is a big deal on this team,” sophomore Morgan Hammons said.

The Lady Trojans plan on achieving their hopes of becoming Tennessee state champions.
