Coming off a landslide 35-0 victory against the Brighton Cardinals, the Dyersburg Trojan football team took the field on Friday, September 4, with the Obion Central Rebels. Similar to the previous week’s game, the Trojans dominated the Rebels on Trojan turf with the final score 54-6.

Israel Barbee, 5, led the winning team with the first touchdown in the first quarter and totaled five touchdowns for the game. Dontavis Vaughn, 31, scored two and Jaylon Brown, 13, scored one, totaling eight touchdowns against the Rebels.

Following these touchdowns was Grant Self, 13, with a perfect four out four field goals and Edward Cloar, 19, with two out of three field goals made.

Lafe Morgan, 12, had the only pass interception of the night, helping the Trojan momentum.

Using caution according to the Covid-19 health guidelines, the stadium was packed with supporters for the Trojans’ first home game of the 2020 season.

Next Friday night, the Trojans play away at Hardin County, hoping to continue their winning streak.
